We require a current Rabies vaccine in accordance with Texas law. The Rabies tag is not proof of vaccination alone, and all vaccinations must be given by a licensed Veterinarian.
For boarding we do require the Rabies vaccine and FVRCCP (Distemper) vaccine to be current.
It is best to have them updated 5-7 days prior to coming to see us.
For boarding services all kitties over 6 months of age must be spayed or neutered.
All services at Purradise are by appointment only. This allows us to manage staffing and capacity so we can give every cat the appropriate care and attention they deserve.
Cats are housed individually unless they are from the same verified household and approved for co-housing. Cats may see or smell other cats in the facility, but there is no intentional direct interaction between cats from different households.
Boarding can be an unfamiliar experiences for many cats, and some level of stress is normal.
We use calm handling techniques, predictable routines, and a stress-aware, safety-first approach. Some cats require minimal handling and privacy covers to make them feel safe in a new environment. We let them decompress while giving them the space they need to feel as safe as possible.
We provide food and water for every cat boarding with us. We do ask that you bring your cats food with you if they have specific dietary requirements, or to help avoid any possible stomach issues that may happen from changing their diet suddenly.
You are more than welcome to bring something small that smells like home (t-shirt, blanket or towel). You can also bring their favorite toy.
Please do not bring bowls as we provide ones that fit specifically in our holders. We also cannot put electric water fountains or automated feeders in kittys room for their safety.
Some cats eat less in new environments. We monitor appetite closely and escalate any significant or concerning changes to management.
Only food or treats approved by the owner or veterinarian may be given. We do not substitute food without authorization. You may add any instructions to your kitties file in the event you would be unavailable during their stay with us.
Yes. Medications are administered only as instructed by the owner or a licensed veterinarian. We do not administer injectable medications (such as insulin injections).
While we make reasonable efforts to administer approved medications, some cats may not tolerate medication administration safely due to stress or temperament. If medication cannot be given safely, administration may be paused and escalated to management for next steps.
If a medical concern arises, we will attempt to contact the owner or emergency contact. In urgent situations where contact cannot be made, we may seek emergency veterinary care consistent with intake authorization.
